Cool Boy
Like I told you in Lorelei’s blogpost we were kind of goofy in Tobias’ room. Well, of course, as the photographer, I had to take some pictures of Tobias too, especially of some of his cool jumps. Well, I can tell you that is not easy… Here is one of the better ones . Hope you like it…
I have to tell you it is loads of fun to watch them play together like that. Admitted, sometimes they can be pretty mean to each other. Most of the times though, the are very kind to each other and they play together quite well. Lorelei still needs to work on the concept of sharing, but Tobias is very good at distracting so that both him and Lorelei can play with something they like.
I think Tobias is quite a cool brother…
Making a Hat
These days Tobias does quite a bit of arts and crafts like drawing and cutting and stuff. He makes al kinds of things and more often than not they have something to do with knights, pirates or weaponry. Like I told you before, I find that quite disturbing, especially the weaponry, but at the same time it is great to see his imagination expressed on paper. And I guess the whole weaponry thing is age-appropriate (?)…
Anyway, the other day he went up to his room to “work”, which usually means doing something art and crafty. After some time he came down and told me he had made a pirate hat, but he could not fit it on his head. I had no idea what he was talking about, so I went upstairs with him There he showed me an assembly of several pieces of paper stapled together, including one big piece with something resembling a skull and bones on it. What he needed help with is stapling the circle to the size of his head so that he could wear his hat.
I was quite impressed actually….
School Play
As I said in a previous post, Tobias’ annual school play was coming up. I was going to write this message the next day, but got distracted somehow. It is already two weeks ago by now, but hey, better late than never, right?
The play was very nice. It was about all kinds of houses, including a teepee in the part that Tobias performed. Of course they had songs about or related to the houses. Tobias’ song was about an indian in a teepee who had all sorts of animals walking around it, including Tobias the Bear .
All three of us went to see Tobias, which was nice for us as well as Tobias. I think Lorelei was genuinely impressed. and so was I .
