Tobias is not even six weeks old and he is already turning into a couch potato. I guess he takes after him mom in that respect. I suspect his first words will be "where is the remote?"...
Last weekend we filled his play pen with toys. He didn't seem to care for it too much at first, he was just staring at them. But now he is looking at them and reaching out to them. I think he likes what we did to "his place". Oh, and that rug.... it really ties the room together :-)
Mommy took Tobias to her school this week. All the children really liked him. They wanted to touch him and hold him and pet him. I am curious to see if he is still this popular when he goes to school himself....

Hey, that's me feeding Tobias here. We did that for the first time yesterday (19/02/05) and it worked really well. He didn't seem to mind at all and neither do I! Maybe mommy does, because she is the one who has to pump her breasts now...
Tobias is getting better at controlling his muscles. His head movements are becoming more controlled. As you can see here he is able to hold his head up (and keep his eyes and mouth wide open...)

Tobias had a hard time getting started using his passfier, but today he got the hang of it. This is good for his parents too, especially for their pinky fingers...

This is Tobias in the arms of his second cousin Sabine. She looks quite the little mom, doesn't she? Although she states: "I think I will wait [being a mom (ed.)] until I have my own baby". Sabine came to visit (Feb 13) us with her mom Caroline and her grandmother Bets.
Playing the piano can be quite a tiring job, as Tobias shows us here. I think he does enjoy it though, it relaxes him... so much that he falls asleep. I don't know if I should take it as a compliment or...
On February 2nd Tobias' first girlfriend, Annalief, was born. We went to visit her and her parents, Kasper and Liesbeth, on Kasper's birthday. I am pretty sure Tobias slipped her a little note while she was sleeping, inviting her to dinner and a movie in 2021...
Last weekend (Feb 5th) we took Tobias out for his first major tour outside of Gouda. We made a stop at Westmaas to visit his Greatgrandmother de Pee. She was excited about our visit as you can see in this picture (she recently fell, hence the black eye, in case you were wondering...).

This is Tobias' first time at the "consultatiebureau" where he will get his physical check-ups for the first few years of his life. Here he gets a hearing test which he passed with flying colors!
Look what a beautiful sweater Tobias is wearing here... This sweater was knit by Oma de Pee. Tobias said: "Wheeeee!" which I think meant: "Thanks so much Oma! I love this sweater!"

As you can see Tobias is already into computers... he was really enjoying surfing the internet with me and of course listening to Bob Dylan songs. He also helped me finishing up some work... :-)
Now how does that look? Mommy with the stroller and I can assure you Tobias is really in there... I was there! This is his first walk outside. It was chilly but sunny so a nice walk, and the stroller works perfectly.
Here he is getting his 'hielprik' to test him for some early detectable yet curable diseases. I personally didn't like it much, but he didn't seem to care at all. He just 'underwent' it... I hope this is a good omen!
The whole family... amazing, that's three people now. Until he was born that sounded foreign, but it didn't even take a minute to get used to that. Isn't is a pretty picture?
Here Tobias is taking a nice warm bath in his Tummy Tub. He seems to be really enjoying that, and so are we. That is mommy bathing him. Everybody says his hands are big, but if you compare them to mine....
I don't know what he is staring at here, but I do know that I just love those eyes. And check out his hair... blond already (we have been told that is quite unusual)
